“My sister and I went out for dinner to a place I have been wanting to visit on many trips home but haven’t yet. It is the Brixton and it sits in the heart of Glace Bay. It is fine dining at its best with a down home feel. They have a Cordon Blue Chef and it’s pretty obvious from the bread plate to the finish. The dishes were amazing. The cocktails were so nice to look at and even better to taste. They served a bread with a lime infused butter with some heat and it was sooo delicious. The hot honey naan bread with the Taziki was incredibly garlicky and flavourful. The scallops were seared perfectly and every bit of sauce on the plate complemented them well. The burger that my sister had she said was charred yet tender and juicy with every bite, and it was the quality of the beef that stood out more than anything. I had seared salmon. It melted in my mouth. Perfectly cooked, and everything was seasoned as it should be. Food is locally sourced. There were many people in there tonight all with reservations. Nice to see this place thrive! The wines paired very well with the meal and it’s definitely a five star experience and well worth the money. The service was top notch. Loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend!!!”
