“Delicious chowder as expected from a placed called the chowder house! Very flavourful and well seasoned. Seafood was plentiful and the layers of flavour from the chowder was excellent! Also got the clam strips and they were delicious! Good portion sizes. Indoor and outdoor seatings available for rain or shine! Would recommend :)”
“Chowder is as advertised. Delicious! Creamy, hearty and full of seafood. Haddock bites were tender and flavourful.
Staff were very knowledgeable of local area, history and provided tips/suggestions. Great view to enjoy your meal. Nice quiet place.”
“Good food, reasonably fast. Place was crowded with locals which is a good indicator. I had haddock bites and fries and slaw. Food was hot and fresh. Serving if slaw was tiny (like a condiment cup size). They have a picnic area overlooking the ocean with an incredible view. They are a 1 min walk from an old lighthouse that serves hand scooped ice cream.”
“It’s definitely worth visiting. The seafood chowder was especially delicious. The place was bustling when we visited during the middle of October, and the restaurant had a very local feel to it.”
